Luke is from the Wambaya people, North East of Tennant Creek he also has traditional links to the Yuggera. He began his career at an early age as a traditional dancer while still doing home schooling program and touring throughout Australia. He has performed at numerous venues throughout Australia such as Entertainment Centre in Sydney, Alice Springs Resorts, Convention Centre Adelaide and recently performed with a touring American musician Jack Johnson at an open air concert at Adelaide Oval.

He has always enjoyed learning new things and very particular when it comes to passing on correct information about his culture. He took up an interest in the keyboard while still at school but has had no formal education in music but plays the instrument by ear. He writes poetry and has a number of songs that he has composed ready for further development. He works with his brother, David, in creating new musical pieces for their dance routines.

His eye for detail and organisational skills has helped him in his current position as a partner in his own business with his brother and sister as the Artistic Manager of Imbala Jarjum.

He also has published educational booklets for Indigenous youth and is currently working on a corperate magazine. As computers are the thing of the future Luke often speaks about how he can incorperate his music, dance and computer skills to create children’s learning games and other musical computer literacy with an Indigenous focus.

He has many aspirations one is to a buy a house, care for his family which includes his nieces and nephews and be a successful business person.
